Schedule of the academic year
Our academic year is divided into two five–month semesters. A semester includes the 14-week long instruction period and the examination period (about 1.5 month-long).
The first semester starts at the beginning of September and ends at the end of January (the exam period usually begins at mid-December), whereas the second semester starts in February (the exam period begins at mid-May) and lasts until the end of June. Students have a couple of days off at Christmas, but please note that there is no autumn and winter break, only a short spring holiday after Easter, therefore students are encouraged to take a longer vacation in summer, taking into account that there is also an obligatory summer practice.
